I was asked today “Does God love me?” and this is a very common question especially for those who can’t comprehend why God allows bad things to happen. First thing you need to understand that God created all mankind in his image, including you watching this video. He took time to form you with love and care. Second thing you need to understand is that after we rebelled against God, Jesus still died for us, knowing that you are going to continue to make mistakes, and this what most people don’t understand, God didn’t die for nothing, he knew there were going to be unbelievers, he knew people who are going to turn their back on Him, he knew there were going to be people who were going to continue to mock him, but God loves us so much that He wanted to open a path into Heaven for those who do believe, who wants forgiveness, who desires a personal relationship with God. The love of God was manifested, presented publicly 2,000 years ago, in the sending of his Son, Jesus Christ., very rarely will someone give their life for someone who deserves the consequences of evil. God is a God not only of Holiness, Justice and Righteousness, but also a God of Love, Compassion, Forgiveness and Mercy. I want you to really understand that God loves everyone individually and that He desires to have a personal relationship with you.
Jeremiah 31:3 tells us “Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving-kindness I have drawn thee.”
Isaiah 43:4-5 tells us “Since [you are] precious in my sight…and I have loved thee…Fear not: for I am with [you].”
John 15:9 tells us “As the Father has loved Me [Jesus], so have I loved you.”
Jesus died for you, He sent you his spirit to guide you, he has opened a door for you into Heaven, and he has given you an abundant life, what more does He have to do to demonstrate that he loves you? I think the question we should really be asking ourselves is whether if we love Him and how are we demonstrating that love for him in our lives? May the Gospel give you life, and don’t forget to live faithfully. Remember, you don’t have to worry about love, because as long as God exist, we are loved! God bless.
